CPL Receives LSTA Technology Mini-Grant

Great news! The Centralia Public Library will receive just over $17,000 in LSTA funds to implement our Tech It Out! Project through the LSTA Technology Mini-Grant. We have begun planning and ordering technology, equipment, and supplies, and before long, you will see some brand new technology and services in the library, including 15 new desktop computers, a self-check station, two additional computers in the teen section, and two easy access library catalogs.

We will also be upgrading our network with a brand new server and Ethernet switch. September is our planning phase, and we hope to install our new technology in October and November.

This project is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services Technology act as administered by the Missouri State Library, a division of the Office of the Secretary of State.
